Saddle Stitch Booklet Print File Setup
Bleed
Set up your artwork to follow the printing industry's standard bleed zone of 0.125 inches.
This is a 1/8 inch border on every edge.
Binding
Include a 0.5 inch safe margin on the binding side of each page.
The safe margin ensures text and/or critical elements do not get punched.
We also recommend a 0.125 inch safe margin on the remaining 3 sides.
Counting Pages
Count all pages in your file including: Front Cover, Inside Front Cover, Interior Pages, Inside Back Cover and Back Cover.
Example: 8 Pages (Cover Pages + 2 Double-Sided Interior Pages) | PDF should be 8 single pages.
Page Sequence
Place your print-ready file pages in the order you want them to appear within the completed booklet. Start with the exterior-front cover and end with the exterior-back cover.
Include any blank pages in the page order. Example: if you don't want printing on your inside covers the second and second-to-last pages in the print-ready file should be blank.

- Page 1 is the Front Cover
- Page 2 is the Inside-Front Cover
- Pages 3,4,5, & 6 are Interior Pages
- The Inside-Back Cover is Page 7
- Page 8 is the Back Cover
How to Upload Your File
Upload your file as a single combined PDF file with crop marks and bleed. Pages need to be in front to back squence and sized at their final size with a 0.125" bleed.
Only upload your file as single combined PDF file with single pages - not spreads.
*NOTE*
If you upload a file that doesn't match the file requirements/sizing selected or doesn't include crop marks & bleed, you will be notified that a new file is required. If you need Cornerstone's help fixing any issues, an additional design setup fee may be requested.
