Cornerstone Copy Center was founded by Ron and Joyce Lund in 1981. Ron & Joyce's first purchase was a Xerox 8100. People in the industry were skeptical, “Who would want to buy copies?” they said."It will never work!” They started out with 500 square feet of space and expanded the store on Nicollet Avenue to 3700 square feet. Before they knew it, they had to add copiers and replace the older ones throughout the years. In April of 2001, Ron & Joyce retired and sold their business to the current owners, Daniel Mahowald & warren d. mosier. Daniel was hired by Ron & Joyce in 1987 as a copier assistant and moved up to Production Manager, helping Ron run the business under supervision. warren began as a freelance set-and-light designer for the theatre as a graduate out of Bethel College. In 1993, he began a graphic design business out of his home. The business was called Advanced Printing Design (APD). He contracted most of his design work to be printed with Cornerstone Copy Center. So it was a natural fit for Daniel and warren to buy Cornerstone Copy Center and continue to build the company. They together formed Advanced Printing Design, LTD as co-owners and purchased Cornerstone Copy Center in May 2001. warren and Daniel continued to invest in the business, adding more copiers, bindery equipment, and even a full color poster printer. They were running out of space! In July 2004, Daniel and warren broke ground to build a new building for Cornerstone Copy Center. In November 2004, Cornerstone Copy Center moved from its Nicollet location of 23 years to their new facility on the corner of McAndrews & County Road 11. The Grand Opening was held on November 30 2004. Also in November 2004, Cornerstone purchased Ross Printing (formerly in Apple Valley) and moved them in to the new building. It's been a fun and exciting few years for warren and Daniel. Stop in and visit them and see what else is new! Just a few of the machines we currently have are:
